Job summary

Positron AI in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior ASIC Design Engineer to lead microarchitecture, define critical IP blocks, and deliver RTL signoff for inference ASICs/SoCs.

You will mentor engineers, drive architectural tradeoffs, and collaborate with architecture, verification, and physical design to meet ambitious PPA and schedule goals. This role is on-site in Austin, TX with a competitive base salary and equity.

Qualifications

• B.S./M.S. in EE/CE or related field with strong RTL experience.
• Proven track record leading designs from spec to RTL to signoff.
• Deep SystemVerilog RTL expertise with CDC/RDC handling.
• Experience with front-end flows and major EDA suites.
• Hands-on with HBM/DDR, PCIe/CXL, AXI/ACE/CHI, or memory hierarchies.

Responsibilities

• Define and document microarchitecture for complex IP blocks and subsystems.
• Deliver production-quality, parameterized SystemVerilog RTL with interfaces and assertions.
• Lead lint, CDC/RDC, DFT integration, and timing closure with PD.
• Own PPA metrics and optimize microarchitectures to meet targets.
• Architect and integrate high‑performance interconnects and memory interfaces.
• Develop coding guidelines, IP packaging, and signoff checklists.
