Job summary

DFA in Missouri operates a high-speed aseptic and ESL beverage plant. This role leads maintenance and engineering teams, overseeing preventive and predictive programs, capital projects, and process optimization to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.

You will partner with Operations, Quality, R&D, and Safety to drive asset reliability, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, SQF, HACCP in a cross-functional setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related field preferred.
• 5-8 years of maintenance experience in food/beverage manufacturing with leadership experience.
• Strong aseptic/ESL processing or sanitary manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience with utilities systems (electrical, boilers, refrigeration, water), PLCs/automation, and CMMS.
• Knowledge of GMP, SQF, HACCP, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance supervisors and teams; provide coaching and development.
• Maintain predictive and preventive maintenance programs across all assets to minimize downtime.
• Oversee maintenance for facility utilities, electrical distribution, and process equipment; manage staff and contractors.
• Provide technical leadership in aseptic and ESL operations, including sterilization and hygienic design.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, SQF, GMP, and internal food safety requirements; drive capital projects.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, R&D, Warehousing, HR, Safety and Supply Chain.
• Manage lifecycle analyses, downtime risk, and asset optimization.
• Communicate across the organization and manage Change Management (MOC) processes.
• Develop maintenance KPIs and drive continuous improvement; oversee safety programs.
