Qualifications

• BS CS/EE/CE or related experience with PostgreSQL.
• 5+ years in Sybase ASE RDBMS and related tooling, upgrades and DR planning.
• 3+ years of PostgreSQL DB administration, design and tuning.
• Experience with logs, event logs, and system metadata catalogs troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of virtualization and AWS IaC concepts (Terraform).

Responsibilities

• Support/administrate ASE and PostgreSQL databases, including AWS-hosted environments.
• Configure, administer, tune, monitor, and back up ASE and PostgreSQL databases.
• Work with large data volumes and migration from SAP ASE to Amazon RDS PostgreSQL.
• Provide client support for test and production systems as needed.
• Collaborate with IT teams to improve architecture and disaster recovery.
