Job summary

iQuasar LLC is seeking a Senior Database Administrator in Washington, DC to lead enterprise database environments across on‑premises and AWS cloud. The role requires hands‑on PostgreSQL and MySQL administration, deployment, maintenance, and performance tuning for scalable systems.

The candidate will work with stakeholders, ensure data reliability, and support disaster recovery, security, and on‑call maintenance in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in PostgreSQL and MySQL administration across on‑premises and AWS cloud environments.
• Hands‑on experience with installation, configuration, optimization, replication, backup/recovery, and performance tuning.
• Experience migrating clusters to AWS and implementing high‑availability architectures with security controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise database environments to AWS Cloud with on‑premises integration.
• Analyze execution plans, optimize SQL queries, and implement tuning strategies.
• Manage clusters across VMware, EC2, RDS, Aurora and on‑prem infrastructure.
• Implement backup/recovery, security solutions, encryption, and IAM integration.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and scheduled maintenance windows.
