Job summary

Subaru of Glendale is seeking an experienced Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles at our Glendale, CA dealership. You will work with customers and technicians to ensure quality workmanship and timely service.

The role requires ASE certification, 5+ years of hands-on experience, strong diagnostic skills, and a customer-focused mindset. You will use advanced diagnostic tools and follow manufacturer guidelines to deliver outstanding results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ASE certification required or pursued with commitment to obtain.
• Minimum 5+ years of Service Technician experience preferred.
• Strong diagnostic, electrical and engine repair knowledge.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to operate diagnostic equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles.
• Determine vehicle issues based on customer descriptions and inspections.
• Communicate with customers regarding repairs and maintenance needed.
• Document all work performed and parts used.
• Adhere to dealership and manufacturer service guidelines.
• Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools to test components and systems.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems (engine, transmission, brakes, A/C, etc.).
• Provide time estimates for additional repairs.
• Communicate with Service Advisor to keep customers informed.
