Job summary

Watlow Electric Manufacturing Company in St. Louis, MO seeks a Senior Engineer – Supplier Quality Engineering to ensure new product readiness and supplier performance across the global supply base.

You will link, evaluate, and drive continuous improvement with suppliers and report to the Supplier Quality Engineering Manager. The role requires AS9100/ISO9001/IATF familiarity, audits, and strong problem solving with the ability to travel up to 50% internationally.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in an engineering, manufacturing, or applicable technical discipline.
• Five (5) years in Supplier Quality, Quality Assurance, or Supply Chain.
• Five (5) years in engineering/design or manufacturing/process.
• Experience with AS9100, ISO9001:2015, and IATF 16949 is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.
• Auditing quality management systems and process audits.
• Expertise with 8D, PPAP, APQP, Control Plans, and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Support NPD, Global Footprint, and Supply Chain projects with supplier evaluation/audits.
• Lead supplier readiness/improvement with new and existing suppliers for new product releases.
• Lead supplier evaluations/audits of current and new Watlow suppliers.
• Deploy Watlow requirements to suppliers and close capability gaps.
• Use supplier performance data to improve performance and sourcing strategies.
• Ensure suppliers follow change control requirements with annual training and audits.
• Lead major supplier corrective action with thorough 8D and actions.
