Hook LLC. is seeking a Senior Art Director to balance hands-on design craft with creative direction in a remote-first US team. You’ll lead concepting, collaborate with writers and motion designers, and translate complex product features into engaging stories across digital campaigns.

The role emphasizes brand understandings, client relationships, and proactive problem-solving to deliver visually stunning advertising solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of creative agency or production company experience across campaigns.
• Hands-on design experience with pixel-perfect feedback to team members.
• Familiarity with motion graphics and ability to guide motion designers.
• Bonus points for hands-on brand design or motion design experience.
• Strong portfolio showing ability to solve complex marketing challenges for digital and social-first projects.
• Ability to tell a clear, engaging story using UI features and visuals.
• Keep up with industry developments and AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on concepting and execution: develop insight-driven concepts and execute visuals beyond client expectations.
• Design and concepting: create visually appealing designs for social and digital campaigns within tight budgets.
• Client relationships: maintain positive relationships and become an expert on brand culture and expectations.
• Team collaboration: work with Design and Motion teams to push work further and find efficiencies.
• Communication: be a clear and effective communicator to the team and production partners.
• Creative partnership: collaborate with a Senior Copywriter to drive storytelling across media.
• Presentations: lead development and presentation of pitches for major campaigns.
• High quality: ensure top-quality deliverables within brand relationships.
