The Role and What You’ll Do:

The role of Sr. Art Director is to be a visual storyteller and creative problem solver who finds new and unexpected ways to drive results for our clients. We encourage you to use every tool in your creative arsenal, not just your computer, to create meaningful work that you can be proud of.

As a Senior Art Director at 160over90, you will typically partner with a Sr. Copywriter on various creative assignments.

As the Art part of the team, you have a passion for design and a keen understanding of the specific demands of traditional and digital media, as well as experiential. You get excited by not just making great work, but by making great work that actually works.

In addition to helping solve creative briefs and occasionally meeting with clients, Sr. Art Directors at 160 are killer in their craft and guide the efforts of junior creatives. As hands-on cross-functional team members, Sr. Art Directors achieve strategic goals and meet client expectations with oversight from the creative leads on concepting and/or production.

You will create the innovative and memorable cross-channel work that continues to make our agency, and our clients stand out and talked about in the industry.

  • Play a hands-on role in the delivery of outstanding creative and results, working collaboratively within a cross-disciplinary team.
  • Ensure consistency and efficacy of design throughout all creative.
  • Art Direct creative from concept to end product with the ability to self-manage multiple projects and tight timelines.
  • Work within the client’s established brand guidelines.
  • Leverage talent for design and concepting to contribute to work that solves for consumer needs and business goals.
  • Successfully communicate creative ideas by confidently presenting your creative to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Stay consistently relevant and up-to-date on all marketing trends and culture.
  • Develop exceptional concepts for a wide range of marketing including experiential, branding, content, social, digital, print, OOH and more.
  • Appraise and edit your own work.
  • Work closely with project managers and account teams across the life span of a project.
  • Bring to life ideas for new business pitches and existing clients across presentations and production.
  • Work effectively with all stakeholders to complete projects within timelines and budget parameters.
  • Expert level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and Google Slides.
  • Working proficiency with new tech tools such as Midjourney and Dall-E.
  • Receptive to creative feedback and adaptability in the creative development process.

We’d Love If You Also Have These:

  • 5-7 years of Art Direction experience within an ad agency or similar setting.
  • Degree in graphic design, marketing/communication design or similar field.
  • A digital portfolio of drool-worthy advertising design, campaign concepts and relevant creative endeavors.
