Ravensburger in Seattle seeks an Art Director Manager to lead the creative team in a hybrid work setting. You will guide art direction, mentor staff, and ensure projects meet creative and budget goals.

With 5+ years in art leadership and a strong eye for world-building, you will supervise pipelines, maintain documentation, and collaborate with the Creative Manager to deliver high-quality artwork on schedule.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in art leadership, people management, art buying, illustration commissioning, or creative operations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage creative-pipeline operations, maintain accurate documentation, track multiple workstreams, identify risks, and support delivery against deadlines.
• Strong analytical judgment and communication skills, with the ability to interpret performance measures, identify trends, and present updates to leadership.
• Strong understanding of world-building, visual development, narrative integration, and artistic and technical illustration fundamentals.
• Collaborative and inclusive people leader who provides clear, actionable feedback and guides artist contracts and rates.

Responsabilités

• Lead bi-weekly 1:1 meetings with direct reports, provide feedback and development planning.
• Advise the Creative Manager on team performance, capacity, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Monitor milestones, brief completeness, revision rounds, and forecast accuracy.
• Contribute through art direction and project leadership while supporting recruiting and freelance artists.
• Establish and maintain workflow documentation, decisions, handoffs, risks and follow-up.
