Ravensburger in Seattle is seeking an experienced Art Director to lead art direction for our trading card game visuals. This hybrid role combines creative leadership with hands-on collaboration across narrative, production, and external artists.

You will translate concepts into compelling artwork, guide briefs, and ensure on-brand storytelling while balancing production realities. The position offers a collaborative, creative environment with opportunities to shape globally relevant art.

Qualifications

• Experience in production art direction for visual storytelling projects.
• Proven ability to commission and direct illustration from concept to final delivery.
• Strong understanding of narrative, gameplay needs, and art direction across sets.
• For junior candidates, show potential and early professional experience in illustration/arts.
• For senior/lead candidates, ownership of complex commissions and workflow.

Responsabilités

• Translate card concepts and visual standards into clear art direction for illustrations.
• Review briefs to ensure production readiness and alignment with narrative needs.
• Commission and guide a high volume of illustration work from brief to delivery with feedback.
• Collaborate remotely with Set Leads, Narrative, Production, Brand, and artists.
• Maintain brand/IP standards and support onboarding of freelance illustration talent.
