The ideal candidate is a retired US Army officer, with commission or warrant, honorable discharge, and US Army Cadet Command certification. Bachelor's degree required; CNACI background check completed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Retired US Army Officer (Commissioned or Warrant).
• Honorable discharge from the U.S. Army.
• Certified by US Army Cadet Command.
• CNACI investigation completed/approved.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the chief instructor of the JROTC unit.
• Manage the JROTC program per school rules and district policies.
• Advise school authorities on laws and safety of the program.
• Continually evaluate the JROTC program.
• Enforce the uniform dress out policy.
• Serve as unit fund manager.
• Conduct risk assessments prior to high-risk training.
• Enforce property accountability.
• Coach Color Guard Team.
• Advise Cadet Battalion Officer staff.
• Coordinate extracurricular activities and out-of-district travel.
• Manage the JROTC program per AR 145-2.
• Exhibit CCISD Core Values of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.
• Stay up-to-date professionally through learning opportunities.
• Research district policy and current practices before action.
• Participate as a team member contributing to goals.
• Demonstrates proficient levels of technology applications.
• Participates fully in drills and safety exercises to provide for safety.
• Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.
• Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.
• Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.

Primary Purpose

Provide JROTC students with appropriate learning experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth; enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.

Qualifications Education/Certification/Licensure

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

Retired US Army Officer (Commissioned or Warrant)

Discharged from the U.S. Army with service characterized as “Honorable”.

Certified by US Army Cadet Command

Completed/ Approved CNACI investigation

Special Knowledge/Skills

Effective communication, interpersonal and public relations skills

Familiar with the Army Regulations 145-2

Familiar with TC 3-21.5, Drill and Ceremony

Familiar with principles of instruction

Experience

Retired from the US Army and drawing retirement salary.

Major Responsibilities and Duties

• Serve as the chief instructor of the JROTC unit.
• Manage the JROTC program in accordance with school rules, regulations, and customs
• Advise school authorities on laws and regulations affecting the legal and safe operation of the program.
• Continually evaluate the JROTC program.
• Enforce the uniform dress out policy.
• Serve as unit fund manager.
• Conduct risk assessment prior to engaging in high risk training.
• Enforce property accountability policy.
• JROTC instructors coach Color Guard Team as a minimum.
• Advise the Cadet Battalion Officer staff.
• Coordinate the extracurricular activities and out of district travel with the district Coordinator for Leadership Education and Development.
• Manage the JROTC program in accordance with AR 145-2

• Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.

• Participates fully in drills and safety exercises to provide for the safety and overall emotional wellbeing of students.
