Salary: $150,000+ base (commensurate with experience) + Excellent Benefits

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Area Manager to lead the execution of residential construction projects in the Savannah, GA market. This position oversees all aspects of field operations for both single-family homes and build-for-rent (BFR) communities, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The Senior Area Manager will serve as the local point of leadership, managing teams of superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors while acting as the liaison between on-site operations and the Atlanta-based corporate office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day construction operations across multiple residential sites in the Savannah area.

• Ensure timely delivery of homes and communities with a strong focus on quality, safety, and budget adherence.

• Manage and mentor site-level staff including Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and Field Coordinators.

• Coordinate with land development, purchasing, and design teams to ensure seamless execution of each project.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and local municipalities.

• Monitor schedules, budgets, and job costs to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.

• Report project updates and field metrics to leadership at the Atlanta headquarters.

• Drive a strong culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5-7years of residential construction experience with at least 3+ years in a leadership or area management role.

• Proven experience in single-family and/or build-for-rent community development.

• Strong knowledge of residential construction processes, codes, and best practices.

• Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach.

• Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, BuildPro, or similar).
