GBH is seeking a Senior Archival Producer & Visuals Editor for FRONTLINE on a temporary, remote basis. The role involves archival research, verifying user-generated content, and overseeing legal reviews of visuals to ensure proper context and compliance.

You will lead editorial teams across multiple projects, handle fair use and copyright considerations, and coordinate with FRONTLINE’s counsel and senior editorial staff to ensure deadlines are met.

Qualifikationen

• 5–10 years experience as archival researcher/producer on documentary journalism projects.
• Master’s degree in journalism and/or library science or related field.
• Impeccable editorial judgement and knowledge of PBS/FRONTLINE guidelines.
• Experience ensuring archival and third-party materials comply with copyright and fair use laws.
• Awareness of evolving tech affecting authenticity of visuals.

Aufgaben

• Verify the authenticity of user-generated content and screen for AI-driven edits.
• Independently identify fair use, copyright, consents and other editorial issues and propose solutions.
• Educate production teams on legal/editorial guidelines for visuals.
• Oversee researchers, fact checkers and archival producers across projects to meet deadlines.
• Lead visual editor for assets across platforms, including digital-first productions.
• Manage archival projects and ensure editorial standards under tight deadlines.
