Job summary

Goodwyn Mills Cawood (GMC) in Atlanta is seeking a Senior Architecture Project Manager/Project Architect to lead design through construction with guidance from senior leadership.

You will manage scopes, schedules, and budgets, coordinate with internal teams and consultants, and maintain client communication to support successful project delivery while upholding GMC standards and regulatory guidelines.

This on-site role is based in the Atlanta, GA office and requires travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
• Minimum 5 years of experience, preferred.
• Certification as a licensed professional, preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Must be able to listen and communicate effectively.
• Must be a self-starter, team player and able to establish good working relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, team members, and other employees.
• Must be able to perform work-related travel and have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be local to GMC office.

Responsibilities

• Applies firm standards, design practices, and project delivery expectations.
• Supports client relationships through responsive communication and coordination.
• Collaborates across disciplines and supports project goals.
• Manages assigned portions of multiple projects under senior staff guidance.
• Supports design development through construction administration.
• Assists in developing project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
• Ensures quality of design deliverables through internal reviews.
• Coordinates with internal teams and consultants to align design intent.
• Prepares drawings, reports, specifications, and related documentation.
• Participates in QA/QC reviews to meet codes and standards.
• Identifies project risks and communicates them to senior staff.
• Supports construction phase services, including RFIs and submittals.
• Assists with project closeout documentation and final deliverables.
• Contributes to improved workflows, tools, and design practices.
• Maintains consistency in design standards and software tools (CAD/Revit).
• Leads client satisfaction and engagement activities.
