Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a senior architecture leader in Huntsville, AL to manage the Architecture Concepts Department and guide cross-location teams on complex space programs. You’ll drive MBSE activities, coordinate with program offices, and deliver architecture assessments across space, ground, and network domains.

This role requires a BS in engineering or science, 10+ years in space/defense, strong leadership, and a Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in space, intelligence, and/or defense domains.
• Experience initiating and leading project teams, developing project plans, and managing schedule commitments.
• Excellent time-management, cross-functional leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (5–10%).
• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director by managing the Architecture Concepts Department staff.
• Serve as the focal point for program office inquiries and tasking.
• Build and mentor staff and recruit interns as needed to meet demand.
• Direct technical activities, organize project teams, and provide decision support as a SME and project leader.
• Help steer department strategy and pursue new business opportunities.
