Job summary

Inabia Software & Consulting Inc. seeks an Architecture Intermediate Designer in Oakland, CA. The role focuses on architecture and interior design across multifamily, commercial, and mixed-use projects with sustainable, community-oriented approaches. You will work on zoning, entitlements, and design development.

The ideal candidate has a 10+ year portfolio, strong presentation skills, and proficiency in Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. Licensing is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional architectural design experience.
• Strong conceptual and schematic design portfolio.
• Experience with zoning, planning, and entitlement processes, preferably in urban/mixed-use projects.
• B.Arch or M.Arch from an accredited architecture program.
• Strong proficiency in Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering tools such as Enscape.
• Strong graphic presentation, communication, and design skills.
• Experience across capacity studies, concept design, schematic design, entitlements, DD, CDs, and CA.
• Ability to work independently and mentor junior designers.
• Familiarity with zoning, accessibility, building codes, and construction methods.
• Architectural license is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead design development and schematic design efforts for multifamily, commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use projects.
• Mentor junior designers and coordinate with internal teams.
• Navigate zoning, entitlement processes, and code compliance for projects.
• Develop compelling design presentations and graphic materials.
