Job summary

Design Draw Build, an Oakland-based architecture-led design-build firm, seeks a Senior Designer to lead design efforts across multiple projects from concept to detailing. The role emphasizes strong communication, collaboration with architects, builders and fabricators, and delivering complete architectural drawings with Revit proficiency.

The ideal candidate has 1–5 years of architecture experience, a Bachelor's degree, and a passion for both design and technical drafting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Architecture.
• 1-5 years of experience in Architecture.
• Take projects from Schematic Design to detailed rendering.
• Participate in planning and design concepts for projects.
• Revise and develop design concepts as directed by senior staff.
• Prepare 3D models/design documents (Revit required).
• Experienced graphic designer with sketching, layout & visual illustration.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Take architectural projects from contract to close with oversight from Principal.
• Pursue multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timely completion.
• Attend weekly Design Studio Meeting and prepare progress updates.
• Prepare architectural drawings using Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino (Revit required).
• Coordinate with team members for redlines and revisions.
• Develop project imagery with primary renderer to meet client expectations.
• Create complete floor plan sets per instructions and drafting standards.
• Coordinate with outside consultants and ensure clear communication between parties.
• Revise plans and communicate changes to affected team members.
• Present plans and assist in expediting permits with Building/Planning.
