Job summary

NVR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Architectural Technician – Mechanical Systems to join our Architectural Project Team. You will develop HVAC system designs, load calculations, and construction documentation using AutoCAD, supporting sales, permitting and homebuilding processes.

Work with project teams to ensure code compliance, quality standards, and timely completion. Strong collaboration and communication are essential in our fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in drafting or AutoCAD work experience.
• 3+ years in the architecture, engineering, or construction industries.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Writesoft preferred.
• Experience with HVAC system design and load calculations (Manual J, S, and D).
• Residential or production homebuilding experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Experience with design development and construction documentation.
• Attention to detail with strong organizational, planning and time management skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Collaborative team environment with good communication.

Responsibilities

NVR – the parent company of Ryan Homes,NVHomes, and Heartland Homes – is searching for an Senior Architectural Technician– Mechanical Systemsto be integral to our Architectural Project Team, which emphasizes teamwork and innovation.These teamsare responsible fordeveloping crucial construction documentation for sales, permitting, and homebuilding construction.You’llplaya central rolein our dynamic product development process, including collaborative 3D building information modeling (BIM) using AutoCAD.You’llbe involved in projects that span from design drawings and structural analysis to HVAC systems and building code compliance. Role Overview:

• Develop detailed HVAC system designs, specifications, and load calculations in compliance with current codes.
• This requires a demonstrated understanding of written and verbal guidelines on elements such as structure, residential construction, material takeoffs, NVR option system, roof framing, panel fabrication, and/or building codes.
• Research and compile information, consulting with project team members and subject matter experts as required, to support overall project completion.
• Maintainassignedportionof the project schedule.
• Reviewownwork for basic technical and quality compliance. Developing ability, experience, and knowledge to meet the full quality and technical standards set by NVR.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Associate’sdegree or equivalent drafting / AutoCAD work experience
