Job summary

HOK Group, Inc. is seeking an Architectural Specification Writer to develop comprehensive project specifications and support design teams in delivering construction documents.

You will ensure technical accuracy, align with codes, and promote sustainability throughout the project lifecycle. A significant emphasis on coordination with vendors and internal specs teams is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field (equivalent experience considered).
• Minimum 10 years in architectural practice with 3+ years in specification writing.
• Experience on large, multi‑phase projects; NCARB/LEED credentials are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Write and edit project specifications per project requirements and codes.
• Coordinate with design teams, vendors, and master specifications.
• Ensure sustainability goals align with LEED and certifications.
• Support project teams with research, RFIs, and document reviews.
• Contribute to firm-wide specification standards and training.
