Job summary

RK&K is seeking an SOI-qualified architectural historian for a permanent, full-time role in the Southeast, based in an RK&K office in South Carolina or Georgia. The candidate will lead historic surveys and context studies, develop proposals, supervise field staff, and review reports for QA/QC.

Travel out of state is required. The role requires a Master’s degree in architectural history or related field, 8–15 years of relevant experience, and strong knowledge of Section 106, NEPA, and

Qualifications

• Master's degree and SOI qualification required.
• 8–15 years architectural experience in SC or GA.
• 5+ years of architectural project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of Section 106 and NEPA requirements.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Complete historic architectural surveys and context studies.
• Proposal development and supervision of field staff.
• QA/QC of technical reports and Section 106 documents.
• Advise on Section 106, NEPA, and 4(f) evaluations.
• Support business development and client engagement.
