Job summary

Moonlight Molds in Los Angeles is seeking a seasoned architectural drafter with AutoCAD expertise to produce shop drawings detailing layout, profiles, attachments, reinforcements and part drawings. BIM experience is a plus and communication is essential.

The ideal candidate will translate concepts into precise technical drawings, collaborating with architects, engineers, and project managers to develop design documents and construction plans.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Drafting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2+ years of architectural drafting experience using AutoCAD.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings with accuracy.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and construction methods.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and Design: Create detailed architectural drawings, plans, and schematics using AutoCAD.
• Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and other team members to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings.
• Revisions and Updates: Modify and update existing drawings based on feedback, design changes, and project requirements.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
• Standards Compliance: Ensure all drawings adhere to industry standards, company guidelines, and project specifications.
• Site Visits: Occasionally visit project sites to gather information, verify measurements, and ensure design feasibility.
• Quality Control: Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
• Communication: Clearly and effectively communicate design intent and technical details to stakeholders.
