Job summary

The Crowd, a globally recognized architecture practice, seeks a Senior Architectural Designer for its New York studio to lead design concepts from concept through technical delivery on large-scale projects. You will collaborate with Design Directors, Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure design excellence across all stages.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of experience, exceptional visualization and communication skills, and a proven track record delivering complex

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• 10+ years of professional architectural experience on large-scale or complex projects.
• Understanding of project coordination, technical documentation, and design delivery processes.
• Proficiency in Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite; Grasshopper experience is beneficial.
• Professional licensure, LEED accreditation, and Construction Administration experience are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and advance design concepts across project types, contributing to site planning and master planning.
• Produce high-quality visuals and narratives to communicate ideas to clients and teams.
• Create 3D models, feasibility studies, and documentation packages with technical drawings.
• Support delivery through design coordination, zoning and code analysis, and spec review.
• Assist construction administration: review RFIs, shop drawings, submittals, site visits.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain design quality across phases.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative studio culture.
• Present design concepts and updates to internal teams, clients and stakeholders.
