AO in California is seeking a Senior Designer to lead architectural design from concept through documentation. The role guides design direction, coordinates with consultants, and mentors junior designers to ensure design intent and quality.

The ideal candidate has 15–20 years of experience across all project phases, strong leadership, and a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget while meeting client goals and code requirements.

Qualifications

• 15–20 years of architectural design experience across all project phases.
• Proven ability to lead design teams and manage multiple projects.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, permits, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead project design across development phases and maintain design intent.
• Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and stakeholders to meet schedules and budgets.
• Mentor junior designers and guide technical delivery and AO standards.
