Role

The Senior Architectural Designer coordinates or undertakes the design development, production, and delivery of small to mid-size projects. They develop initial design concepts, support the production of presentation drawings and sketches, and solve design complexities under the guidance of senior team members. The role requires independent decision-making and the ability to manage others.

Responsibilities
  1. Analyze and develop approaches to architectural documents based on the design intent, under the preliminary direction of the Project Architect or Manager.
  2. Develop, modify, and review drawings according to standards, with input from the Project Designer.
  3. Coordinate the development and implementation of initial project design concepts.
  4. Participate in the production of 2D and 3D presentation drawings, sketches, renderings, and early design studies.
  5. Translate design intent into technical documents.
  6. Support project phases from initial design through construction completion.
  7. Coordinate project information with disciplines, clients, consultants, and contractors.
  8. Focus on aesthetic and functional considerations, applying QA/QC methods.
  9. Conduct product and code research and incorporate findings into documents.
  10. Assist in work planning and scheduling, as needed.
  11. Support marketing and business development activities.
  12. Mentor less experienced team members.
  13. Incorporate sustainable design solutions into projects.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
  2. At least 4 years of experience in designing small to mid-sized architectural projects, including hotels.
  3. Architectural license preferred.
  4. Environmental accreditation preferred.
  5. Proficiency in AutoCAD, 3D modeling, and Revit.
  6. Strong sketching skills.
  7. Experience in team and project management.
  8. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  9. Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Job Details

Salary range: $65,000 - $100,000 annually.
