As our Senior Landscape Architectural Designer, you will lead the creative direction of high-end projects, focusing on single-family residences across Southern California. This part-time, remote position offers flexibility and the opportunity to design multi-million-dollar environments that define California living.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Documentation:
Develop CAD-drafted schematic plans and detailed presentation designs.
Create innovative landscape architectural solutions that meet local code, environmental standards, and client goals.
Incorporate budget and climate responsiveness into all designs.
  2. Collaboration and Leadership:
Foster a collaborative design process with team members and multidisciplinary project teams.
Actively participate in weekly virtual project review meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions.
Provide creative direction for projects, from concept through execution.
  3. Detail and Expertise:
Ensure material selection, construction techniques, and planting strategies align with project aesthetics.
Demonstrate a keen understanding of architectural styles ranging from traditional to contemporary.
Conduct quality checks on designs to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with project requirements.
  4. Project and Time Management:
Use the company’s project management system to document progress, manage tasks, and maintain clear communication.
Submit weekly time cards via the company’s online tracking system to ensure accountability.

What We’re Looking For:

  1. Experience: 12+ years in landscape design, with a strong portfolio highlighting luxury residential and hillside projects.
  2. Education: BLA, BSLA, B-Arch degree, or equivalent. Professional licensure required for California residents.
  3. Skills:
Exceptional design vision and technical expertise.
Proficiency with design software (AutoCAD and other tools).
Strong knowledge of construction materials, techniques, and planting.
  4. Attributes:
Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects.
Passionate about design, sustainability, and team collaboration.
Energetic problem-solver with a resourceful mindset.

Why You’ll Love Working with Us:

  1. Flexibility: Enjoy the freedom to work remotely in a flexible, part-time role.
  2. Creative Independence: Shape projects to your standards and influence their direction.
  3. Competitive Pay: Compensation aligned with industry standards, negotiable based on experience.
  4. Supportive Team: Collaborate with some of the industry’s best professionals in a dynamic environment.
  5. Inspiring Work: Design luxury environments that redefine outdoor living.
