Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking a skilled architect to perform all phases of architectural work from conceptual design through construction administration. You will lead technical design on major projects and apply advanced architectural concepts using CAD tools in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelors of Science in Architecture or Bachelors of Architecture required.
• 6+ years of experience.
• Experience with computer-assisted design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch-Up.

Responsibilities

• Independently apply advanced architectural concepts and designs.
• Responsible for specific technical design aspects of an assigned major project, including investigation, evaluation and recommendation of design solutions that best meets the client’s needs.
• Utilize computer-assisted design software and equipment to prepare project designs and plans – specifically CAD, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit.
• Ensure quality control reviews throughout project completion.
• Provide professional architectural consultation in the planning, design and coordination of large complex projects.
• Carry out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures.
• May provide technical guidance to less experienced architects/architectural staff.
