Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Architect to shape scalable, reliable solutions for our global network.

You will collaborate with product management and engineering to describe designs aligned with our roadmap and automate critical infrastructure. In this role you will present architectural and security designs to cross-functional teams, define standards for system design and testing, and build high-availability, robust software that supports Akamai's Connected Cloud of 300k+

Qualifications

12 years of experience in distributed system design and implementation.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.
Experience presenting architectural designs to cross-functional teams.
Experience with Unix/Linux development environments.

Responsibilities

Describe and design solutions with product management and engineering aligned with Akamai's strategy and roadmap.
Present architectural designs and technical visions to internal cross-functional teams.
Define and implement standards for systems design, development, comprehensive testing and quality assurance practices.
Design reliable, high-quality, usable software that meets the needs of our business for robust, scalable, and highly available systems.
Conduct research on emerging trends and technologies related to network operations and automation.
