You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to design solutions aligned with our strategy and to present architectural visions across cross‑functional groups. Seeking 12 years of experience and a BS in CS, with proven distributed system design skills, security design capabilities, and Unix/Linux SDLC experience.

Qualifications

• Have 12 years experience and a Bachelor's degree in computer science, or equivalent practical experience
• Have solid experience in distributed system architecture design and implementation, with a track record of delivering scalable, reliable, and secure solutions
• Present and support architectural and security designs and technical visions to internal cross-functional teams
• Have experience in software development life cycle including in the Unix/Linux environment

Responsibilities

• Working closely with product management and engineering teams to describe and design solutions aligned with Akamai's strategy and roadmap
• Presenting and supporting architectural designs and technical visions to internal cross-functional teams
• Defining and implementing standards for systems design, development, comprehensive testing and quality assurance practices
• Designing reliable, high-quality, usable software that meets the needs of our business for robust, scalable, and highly available systems
• Conducting research on emerging trends and technologies related to network operations and automation
