A Senior Architect at Akamai Technologies, Inc. will help shape the architecture of a global, high-reliability network supporting Akamai's Connected Cloud.

You will collaborate across product management and engineering to deliver scalable software solutions with a strong emphasis on automation, reliability and security. Qualifications

• 12 years of experience in software architecture or related field
• Solid experience in distributed system architecture design and implementation
• Present and support architectural and security designs to cross-functional teams
• Experience in software development life cycle including Unix/Linux environments

Responsibilities

• Work with product management and engineering to describe and design solutions aligned with Akamai's strategy
• Present and support architectural designs and technical visions to internal teams
• Define and implement standards for systems design, testing and QA practices
• Design reliable, high-quality, scalable software for robust, available systems
• Research emerging trends in network operations and automation
