City of Cincinnati is seeking a Senior Landscape Architect within the Planning and Design Division to strengthen project delivery and maintain Cincinnati Parks quality.
The role focuses on protecting asset character, promoting design consistency, and improving coordination across all project phases from concept to implementation.
Provide specialized architectural and/or urban design and landscape architecture services; prepares programs, documents, correspondence and presentations related to architectural and/or urban design and landscape architecture projects; serves as a liaison between the City, contractors and other related groups in order to help see a project through to completion; supervises the work of subordinate personnel.
The Senior Landscape Architect (LA) is needed within the Planning and Design Division to strengthen project delivery, improve design consistency, and maintain the quality of Cincinnati Parks assets across the entire park system.
Specifically, this position will:
Overall, the Senior Landscape Architect will provide the specialized design expertise necessary to help Cincinnati Parks deliver thoughtful, durable, historically sensitive, and high-quality improvements that support both current community needs and the long-term stewardship of the Park system.

Each applicant must have three years experience with the City of Cincinnati as an Architecture Intern plus a Bachelor's degree (five- or six-year track) from an accredited college or university in architecture.
Each applicant must have a Bachelor's degree (four-year to six-year track) from an accredited college or university in architecture or landscape architecture. If not registered in Ohio when appointed, Ohio registration must be obtained during the probationary period.
Possession of an architectural license by the Ohio State Board of Examiners of Architects asProfessional Architect or possession of a landscape architecture license. Possession of a valid Driver's License.
Military education and experience may be substituted for college level course work at the lower and upper division baccalaureate and graduate levels and apprenticeship training at the vocationalcertificate level on a case by case basis based on the American Council on Education (ACE) Military Guide recommendations.
