Job summary

Redwood Materials seeks a Staff Architect to lead architectural design and code compliance for large-scale industrial battery recycling facilities. You will serve as Architect of Record in Nevada, mentor a growing design team, and collaborate with AHJs, regulators, and engineers from concept through construction.

The role focuses on life-safety design, permitting, and coordinating internal/external teams to meet aggressive schedules while optimizing space and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must hold a NAAB-accredited architecture degree or NCARB-accepted path.
• Licensed Architect in Nevada or eligible with NCARB certificate.
• Active licensure within six months preferred.
• 10+ years architectural experience, including industrial/process facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead code analysis and life safety design through permit approval.
• Serve as AHJ liaison; manage permitting and variances.
• Develop architectural designs using Revit across all phases.
• Collaborate with teams to optimize space and objectives.
• Oversee external consultants and project scheduling.
• Provide construction observation and contract administration.
• Mentor junior staff and support licensure path.
• Participate in project scheduling and cost estimating.
