Job summary

Redwood Materials is seeking a Staff Architect to lead architectural design and code compliance for large-scale industrial battery recycling facilities from concept through construction. You will serve as Architect of Record on designated projects and liaise with AHJs while mentoring a growing internal design team.

This role requires a NAAB-accredited degree, 10+ years in industrial settings, Nevada licensure or NCARB with plans to obtain Nevada licensure within six months, and strong Revit

Qualifications

• NAAB-accredited architecture degree or NCARB path for licensure.
• 10+ years of professional architectural experience, with industrial/manufacturing projects.
• Licensed Architect in Nevada or able to obtain Nevada licensure within six months.

Responsibilities

• Lead code analysis and life safety design and documentation through permit approval.
• Serve as liaison to AHJs; lead permit exemptions and variances.
• Develop architectural concepts and designs using Revit across all project phases.
• Collaborate with design teams and stakeholders to optimize scope and space.
• Lead design coordination with managers and field teams.
• Scope and manage external architectural consultants and schedules.
• Lead planning and conceptual development to align with company objectives.
• Develop processes to increase design productivity.
• Serve as Architect of Record on designated projects, stamping in Nevada and other states as required.
• Provide construction observation, RFI review, submittals, and closeout.
• Mentor junior staff and support licensure trajectories (NCARB hours).
• Participate in project scheduling and cost estimating.
