Redwood Materials in Reno, NV is seeking a Staff Architect to lead architectural design and code compliance for large-scale industrial battery recycling facilities from concept through construction. You will serve as Architect of Record on designated projects and act as primary liaison to AHJs, mentoring a growing internal design team.

Qualifications

• NAAB-accredited architecture degree required.
• 10+ years of professional architectural experience, including industrial/project facility work.
• Licensed Architect in Nevada or eligible for Nevada licensure within 6 months.

Responsabilités

• Lead code analysis and life-safety design through permit approval.
• Architect of Record; liaise with AHJs and obtain permits; manage variances.
• Develop architectural designs across phases using Revit and BIM tools.
• Collaborate with design teams, leadership, consultants, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Lead design coordination with managers; conduct field walks and gather input.
• Manage external architectural consultants: proposals, deliverables, schedules.
• Develop concept plans and future needs aligned with company objectives.
• Develop processes to improve design productivity.
• Serve as Architect of Record on designated projects, stamping in Nevada and other states as needed.
• Provide construction observation and contract administration: RFI, submittals, site reports, punch lists.
• Mentor junior staff toward licensure (NCARB hours) and support their growth.
• Participate in project scheduling and cost estimating.
