Job summary

BSA's Austin Studio seeks a Senior Architect with a strong background in healthcare or higher education projects to lead design and documentation from concept through completion. The role emphasizes guiding teams, coordinating with consultants, and delivering high-quality design documents that meet budget and schedule constraints.

The candidate will mentor staff, oversee project delivery, and collaborate with project managers to develop work plans and client presentations.

Qualifications

• Accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture.
• Licensed Architect with current registration; NCARB preferred.
• Minimum of 12 years related professional experience.
• Healthcare or higher education project experience preferred.
• Ability to lead teams and deliver high-quality design and technical work.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and documentation from concept to completion.
• Ensure design intent aligns with project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinate and manage cross-discipline coordination with consultants.
• Oversee construction administration across multiple projects.
• Deliver fully coordinated design documents meeting high standards.
• Mentor and develop staff in design and technical proficiency.
• Guide design decisions to address client challenges effectively.
• Collaborate with Project Managers on workplans and client presentations.
• Ensure detailing and materials align with project objectives.
• Provide leadership and support across project teams.
