Job summary

Waggonner & Ball, a Moffatt & Nichol Design Studio, in New Orleans seeks a Senior Architect with historic preservation experience to lead design across diverse projects and mentor teams.

You will develop design criteria, manage project research, cultivate client relationships, and pursue new business opportunities while coordinating with colleagues across disciplines. This is an on-site role in New Orleans with a path to leadership within the studio.

Qualifications

• Professional Architecture Degree; Master’s degree preferred.
• 15 to 20 years of architecture and design experience.
• Proven experience with successful historic preservation projects.
• Mastery in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Proficiency in Rhino and Adobe CC Suite.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Background check per NIST 800-171 and work eligibility in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Leads the development of design criteria for clients/projects.
• Directs creative design direction during all phases of projects.
• Interfaces with clients to align architectural solutions with priorities.
• Oversees multiple building planning and design efforts.
• Leads team collaboration to advance design concepts.
• Mentors staff and coordinates cross-discipline collaboration.
• Leads design reviews and manages budgets and schedules.
