Job summary

RS&H is seeking a Senior Architect to join the Federal Market Buildings team in Savannah, GA. The role provides technical leadership on mission‑driven facilities for federal, military, and government clients, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

You will oversee design through all project phases, mentor junior staff, ensure regulatory and contract compliance, and support business development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Degree in architecture from an NAAB-accredited program or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of architectural experience, including major projects and mentoring.
• Active architectural license in good standing.
• Experience supporting Federal, military, or government clients.
• Knowledge of applicable building codes, zoning laws, fire regulations, and ordinances.
• Proficiency in architectural production software and construction document development.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• US citizen or lawful permanent resident required due to federal contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define architectural project elements and processes to meet Federal client needs.
• Coordinate estimates, proposals, and bid preparations.
• Ensure performance to contract requirements through planning and monitoring work orders and deliverables.
• Plan and develop architectural projects with complex challenges.
• Participate in conceptual design and provide full technical support through all phases.
• Coordinate with PMs, architects, and leadership on technical solutions and product strategies.
• Promote and maintain client relationships and support business development.
• Serve as technical SME on assigned projects and specialized systems.
• Review junior staff work for technical accuracy and provide mentorship.
• Perform quality control reviews, field reviews, inspections, and construction observations.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams and manage a small group of direct reports.
