Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Senior Architect Development Team Lead to support solution architecture and development for a government customer. This role is located in the Washington DC metro area, hybrid with primarily remote work and occasional onsite activity.

The candidate will lead a team of technical architects and developers, drive requirements elicitation, design scalable architectures, and ensure compliance with federal regulations. Strong collaboration and communication are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelors with 15+ years on large scale application design and development.
Expert proficiency programming in Natural using ADABAS.
Experience with NaturalONE Eclipse development environment.
5+ years’ project management experience.
5+ years’ experience defining customer requirements.
Strong ability to design cross-system solutions.
Experience interacting with development/management personnel.
Experience with cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Manage a team of technical architects and developers.
Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing background investigation systems and processes.
Interact with customers and stakeholders to understand requirements.
Design and propose scalable solution architectures.
Ensure compliance with federal regulations and standards.
Develop architectures addressing requirements and regulations.
Collaborate with development teams for implementation.
Conduct reviews to measure solution effectiveness.
Provide expertise in contract and grants management.
Use JIRA for requirements tracking.
Design solutions meeting customer requirements.
Interact with other development team personnel.
Develop software using Natural with ADABAS.
Maintain processes to transfer files with Connect Direct.
Develop and maintain JCL for batch processing.
Develop and maintain IBM MQ queues and flows.
Anticipate customer/project needs and propose solutions.
