Job summary

Capital One’s Card Decisioning Platform team is seeking a Distinguished Engineer to lead architecture and deliver scalable, multi-tenant, AI-powered decisioning solutions across card, lending and banking products.

You will write code, review PRs, mentor engineers, set engineering culture, and guide product partners. Salary ranges vary by location and will be detailed in the offer letter.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 7+ years hands-on full stack or backend experience.
• 5+ years coding in Java, Python, or Go.
• 5+ years in software engineering, architecture, or SRE.
• 3+ years cloud-native technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP).

• Decompose complex problems into practical and operational solutions and write code.
• Ensure the quality of technical design and implementation.
