Job summary

Biorce in Austin and Barcelona is seeking a Staff/Principal Solutions Architect to lead our Engineering function. You will shape the architecture of our multi-tenant SaaS platform and the applied‑AI layer that differentiates our offering, ensuring scale and compliance within a regulated environment.

You will own end-to-end architecture of the application and AI layers, prototype risky components, and set engineering standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building software, with 4+ years as architect or tech lead on large-scale systems.
• Strong SaaS fundamentals: multi-tenant, API gateway, BFF patterns, event-driven design, database-per-service mindset.
• Security reasoning for cloud-native SaaS/LLM apps and agent permission scoping.
• Delivery in regulated/audited environments: audit trails, data integrity, hard compliance gates.
• Hands-on: prototype risky parts, not only diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture across product domains: service decomposition, contracts, boundaries.
• Architect applied-AI layer, agent orchestration, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, tool-use safety.
• Establish LLM evaluation, observability, and cost-modeling for production.
• Set guardrails for multi-tenancy, data residency, immutable audit.
• Write architecture decision records and standards for cross-team adoption.
• Collaborate with platform, research, and scientific stakeholders to ship fast without compromising compliance.
