Job summary

Biorce, a Healthtech company in Austin, is building a data platform for clinical AI. We seek a Senior Data Engineer / Data Architect to lead a greenfield build, architecting a hybrid open-source + Databricks Lakehouse on Google Cloud with dbt as the transformation layer.

You will design self-healing, agentic data flows, mentor engineers, and ensure reliability and regulatory compliance while collaborating with data scientists, MLOps, and DevOps.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in Data Engineering at senior/architect level.
• Experience designing data platforms from scratch (greenfield).
• Deep hands-on with Databricks Lakehouse, Delta Lake, Spark/PySpark.
• Strong SQL and Python for large-scale data transformation.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build a greenfield hybrid open-source + Databricks Lakehouse on GCP using dbt.
• Define data model, standards for quality, lineage, and observability.
• Mentor engineers and ensure regulatory compliance (SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR).
