Job summary

Aderant Holdings, Inc. is hiring a Principal Software Engineer in Atlanta to lead end-to-end architecture for a greenfield, multi-tenant SaaS platform. You will shape data modeling in MongoDB, design AI-enabled features, and ship production TS/Node services with Go where needed, while collaborating across product, UX, QA, and DevOps.

You will mentor engineers, drive CD/CI practices, and help evolve the platform for scale on AWS with a strong emphasis on data privacy and security.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3+ years at staff, principal, or equivalent architect level.
• Experience taking a new platform from design to production.
• Experience handling sensitive data under real compliance obligations.
• Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript and Node for production services.
• Deep MongoDB expertise: data modeling, indexing, aggregation, migrations.
• Strong React and API design experience across REST and gRPC.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end architecture: service decomposition and API strategy.
• Lead MongoDB data architecture, schema evolution, and tenant isolation.
• Define architecture for AI-enabled features, cost and latency considerations.
• Design production TS/Node services and React front ends; oversee CD/CI.
• Mentor engineers via design pairing and code reviews.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, QA, DevOps and Platform teams from discovery to release.
• Provide incident response and on-call participation for designed systems.
