Job summary

Visionaire Partners seeks a Senior Principal Data Architect to lead enterprise data architecture efforts in ATL. You will bridge strategic design with hands-on development, guiding data platforms and AI-enabled architectures.

You will work with Databricks, Azure Synapse, and Delta Lake to build scalable data pipelines, semantic models, and governance standards, while mentoring teams and setting best practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of enterprise data architecture/engineering experience with progression to a Principal Architect or comparable leadership role.
• Strong expertise across the Microsoft/Azure data stack (SQL Server, Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Purview).
• Hands‑on experience with semantic modeling, OWL, RDF, SPARQL.
• Strong proficiency with Python, Spark, and SQL.
• Experience with modern AI frameworks or AI-enabled data architectures.
• Bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities

• Operate in a 50% architecture / 50% hands-on technical leadership capacity—setting enterprise data architecture and strategy while solving complex technical challenges.
• Architect modern data platforms, including data models, lakes, warehouses, and pipelines using Databricks, SQL Server, Azure Synapse, and Delta Lake.
• Design semantic models and ontology frameworks using OWL, RDF, and SPARQL for analytics and AI integrations.
• Build and optimize high-volume ETL/ELT and telemetry pipelines using Spark, Python, and SQL.
• Establish standards for data quality, lineage, metadata, governance, and observability.
• Help architect and prototype AI/agentic AI solutions, including orchestration frameworks and semantic data capabilities.
