ABOUT THE ROLE
Join a top 10, 100% employee-owned engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firm as a Senior Architect, leading design efforts for large-scale infrastructure projects across corporate, healthcare, sports venues, data centers, airports, institutional, and government/military sectors. This full-time, onsite position in Orlando, FL offers the opportunity to take ownership of complex, high-visibility projects from concept through design completion. You will apply expert-level design knowledge, develop innovative solutions for challenging assignments, and ensure compliance with architectural codes and standards. As a Senior Architect, you will mentor junior architects, build lasting client relationships, and play a key role in business development and critical pursuits within a highly respected architectural organization.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead architectural design and project teams through all phases of design and construction, ensuring project objectives and client expectations are met
- Develop, modify, and review production drawings for a variety of project types, including healthcare, aviation, education, and government/military facilities
- Apply expert knowledge of architectural codes, standards, and practices; write specifications and compile technical reports
- Develop innovative, non-standard design solutions for complex and high-visibility projects
- Conduct quality reviews of production drawings and oversee construction administration for design compliance and constructability
- Lead field inspections, measurements, and calculations to ensure design accuracy and adherence to project requirements
- Prepare and present technical reports to clients and stakeholders, communicating complex concepts clearly and effectively
- Build and maintain strong client and contractor relationships; support business development initiatives and key pursuits
- Mentor and guide junior architects, fostering professional growth and ensuring quality assurance, quality control, and safety compliance
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture (NAAB-accredited) with 8+ years' experience, or Master's degree with 7+ years' experience
- Registered Architect (RA) required
- Expert knowledge of building codes, ADA standards, envelope design, and technical detailing
- Proficiency in Revit (BIM), Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D rendering software
- Strong portfolio demonstrating design and graphic presentation skills
- Experience leading design teams on large, complex projects across multiple sectors
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship-building skills
- Willingness to travel as needed for project and client requirements
