Brooklyn-based Architecture and Interior Design firm is seeking an experienced Senior Architect to join our team of architects and interior designers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Developing and coordinating design concepts and functional requirements of projects from initial meeting through construction
- All aspects of Project Management, including oversight of junior team members, management of project schedules and budgets
- Design & Drafting
- Client presentations and meetings
- Coordination with clients and project consultants
- Overseeing projects’ filings with local jurisdictions
- All aspects of Construction Administration: attending OAC meetings, reviewing submittals, reviewing contractor applications for payments, and reviewing of change orders
REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years’ experience
- Bachelor of Architecture
- Personality that thrives in a highly collaborative environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while exhibiting initiative in management of all intra-office priorities
- Exceptional level of attention to detail and a mastery of organizational and time management skills
- Extensive project management experience
- Extensive experience with construction documents and details
- Extensive experience with Construction Administration
- Extensive experience with clients and organizing projects
- Proficient in AutoCAD and hand drawing
- Mastery of architectural graphics
- Modeling in Rhino a plus
- Experience with historic NYC residential buildings
- Experience with ground-up residential buildings outside NYC
- Experience with NYC zoning, building codes, and LPC
- Technical proficiency with both new construction and historic rehabilitation
Full-time, in-person opportunity including benefits.
Depending on skill level and experience, the annual salary for this position is $100,000 - $120,000.
