This role is based remotely. If you live within a 50-mile radius of Warren, MI Innovation Center or Austin, TX Innovation Center, you are expected to report to that location at least three times a week. This position may be eligible for relocation.

As part of the MarTech Strategy and Solutions team, the Senior MarTech Solutions Architect leads the design, development, and deployment of modern marketing capabilities at General Motors. This role focuses on integrating marketing strategy with technology, overseeing platform design that leverages advanced technology to create personalized, data-driven customer experiences using tools like Customer Data Platforms (CDP), Personalization engines, Campaign Management tools (email, SMS, notifications), and AdTech.

This position requires a self-starter with deep expertise in marketing technology, especially Adobe Experience Platform, Adobe Journey Orchestration, and Adobe Campaign, including experience in data architecture. The candidate should be a creative problem solver and collaborator, capable of establishing a clear vision and working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A proven track record in designing and building marketing technology tools across the full MarTech landscape is essential.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Lead the solution design for Adobe AEP and Campaign tools, aligning with business objectives and translating requirements into technical roadmaps.
  • Configure and set up Adobe Experience Platform and Campaign based on best practices.
  • Develop multi-year roadmaps in collaboration with Product Management and Engineering.
  • Design and implement data models, schemas, and workflows within Adobe AEP and real-time CDP, ensuring integration with other Adobe solutions and third-party systems.
  • Design data integration strategies to ensure seamless data flow and define data quality standards.
  • Ensure solutions comply with data security, privacy, and relevant regulations like CCPA and GDPR.
  • Maintain architectural standards such as scalability, reliability, security, and usability.
  • Collaborate with Adobe and other partners to stay updated on platform enhancements and evaluate new features or add-ons.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective implementation.
  • Provide guidance and training on Adobe AEP and Campaign concepts and best practices.
  • Uphold GM's values and foster a positive, inclusive culture.
  • Demonstrate a proactive, action-oriented mindset.
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years experience in digital marketing solutions architecture, especially in large corporate environments.
  • At least 5 years experience with Adobe Experience Platform and Adobe Campaign on-premises and cloud implementations.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Experience Platform, Real-time CDP, Adobe Campaign, Adobe Journey Optimizer, and related Adobe solutions, along with SQL and scripting languages.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles, Agile methodologies, and system integration patterns.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and modeling tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Relevant Adobe certifications are a plus, such as Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) in Experience Cloud or Business Practitioner.
