Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience with an A/E consulting or construction-related firm.
• Licensed Architect (RA).
• Experience leading municipal architectural projects through all phases; aviation/government projects preferred.
• Strong planning and organizational skills with success managing multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all phases of architectural projects, from concept through construction.
• Drive project development, including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, and consultant coordination.
• Lead and participate in client, stakeholder, and agency meetings, particularly for aviation and public-sector projects.
• Prepare and guide conceptual, schematic, and design development solutions, including renovations and restoration efforts.
• Support and oversee design and production teams, mentoring junior staff and intern architects.
• Perform construction administration services, including shop drawing review, RFIs, site visits, and punch lists.
• Execute final preparation and quality control of all design documents (drawings, reports, and specifications).
• Apply deep knowledge of building codes, aviation regulations, and restoration standards to ensure compliance.
• Contribute to business development efforts, such as proposal development and client relationship building.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify new opportunities within aviation and municipal markets.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture (Master’s preferred)
• Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience with an A/E consulting or construction-related firm
• Licensed Architect (RA)
• Demonstrated experience leading the planning, design, and delivery of municipal architectural projects through all project phases. Experience with aviation and other government-sector projects is preferred.
• Strong planning and organizational skills with proven success managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Extensive knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and construction administration practices
• Excellent communication skills, including technical writing, public speaking, and client presentations
• Interest and experience in mentoring and developing junior staff
• High attention to detail with experience in quality control and assurance oversight
• Collaborative team player who positively contributes to office culture and firm growth
• Interest in business development, client engagement, and long‑term relationship building
