Job summary

Alliance Consulting Group seeks an experienced Senior Architect / Project Manager to lead federal facility projects from planning and concept through final design and construction administration. This role serves as both technical leader and trusted client advisor while coordinating multidisciplinary teams and mentoring staff.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Architect with NAAB-accredited degree and DoD/federal project experience preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of architectural QA/QC, conceptual design, space/site planning, and design services.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, MS Office and BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical development of architectural projects from conception through construction.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams with internal and external partners within budgets.
  • Develop architectural design concepts with teams and contribute to design phases.
  • Create presentation documents and assist in business development with leadership and customers.
  • Review engineering drawings and specs for all project phases to meet codes.
  • Develop Revit models, lead BIM coordination, and interdisciplinary model integration.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Architect / Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary federal facility projects from planning and concept development through final design and construction administration. This role serves as both a technical leader and trusted advisor to clients while managing project delivery, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, mentoring junior professionals, and supporting business development across Department of Defense, Department of Veterans Affairs, and other federal agencies. You will play a key role on the team, delivering both Design-Build (DB) and Design-Bid-Build (DBB) projects across multiple sectors. Your ability to provide guidance and technical expertise to customers and collaborate with project teams will directly support high-impact federal projects.

This position requires authorization to work in the United States.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and facilitate the technical development of architectural projects, consulting with Project Managers and Principals, from conceptual design through construction
  • Seamlessly coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (architects, planners, designers, engineers), both internal and external partners, to ensure projects are executed successfully within project budgets
  • Develop architectural design concepts in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and participate in all design phase activities, providing expertise in detail development
  • Create presentation documents (illustrative graphics and visuals) and assist in business development efforts, presenting to leadership, stakeholders, partners, and customers
  • Assist and consult on engineering drawings and specifications for all project phases, ensuring that designs meet applicable building code requirements
  • Develop Revit models, lead BIM coordination, and lead interdisciplinary model integration
Basic Qualifications
  • Licensed Architect is required (RA)
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience providing architectural quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), conceptual design, space and site planning, and architectural design services
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from NAAB-accredited program.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard software; to include but not limited to AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud
Preferred [but not required]
  • Master’s degree in Architecture from NAAB-accredited program
  • NCARB Certificate
  • Design-Build experience
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or other federal agencies
  • Experience supporting healthcare facilities and project types

The expected salary range for this role is $120,000-190,000 annually. Individual compensation packages are contingent on several factors and are unique to each candidate; to include but not limited to depth of technical expertise, relevant experience, certifications, and geographic location.
