Responsibilities

• Lead the development, design, and delivery of Federal architecture projects from concept through construction.
• Serve as the primary client contact for Federal projects, ensuring alignment with mission, budget, and community goals.
• Partner with firm leadership to establish and implement a strategic plan for growth of the Federal practice.
• Pursue new business opportunities by identifying prospects, developing proposals, and participating in interviews and presentations.
• Direct project teams, ensuring design quality, technical accuracy, and adherence to schedule and budget.
• Collaborate with other practice leaders and disciplines to promote cross-sector innovation and firm-wide collaboration.
• Mentor and develop staff in federal design principles, client service, and project leadership.
• Maintain knowledge of trends and emerging issues in public architecture, including sustainability, resilience, accessibility, and community engagement.
• Support marketing and business development activities through speaking engagements, conference participation, and professional involvement.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects and maintain active oversight of key milestones and deliverables.
• Promote the firm's values of excellence, respect, integrity, innovation, and social responsibility through all project work and client interactions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Architecture or Interior Architecture required; Master's degree preferred.
• Licensed Architect (RA) required; NCARB certification preferred.
• 10+ years' experience with a proven track record of pursuit success in the Federal market.
• Proven success in business development and client relationship management within the federal sector.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience with 3D visualization software (SketchUp, Enscape, Lumion, or similar) preferred.
• Strong leadership skills, with experience leading, guiding, and mentoring a team.
• Some travel required.
