Job summary

Verdantas is seeking a Senior Technical Manager, Archaeology to lead complex projects, provide regulatory and technical guidance, and grow our cultural resources practice. You’ll supervise fieldwork, develop methodologies, and mentor staff while maintaining high client satisfaction across multi-disciplinary teams.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years of experience, an advanced archaeology degree, and strong skills in reports, compliance, and business development. Occasional travel is required.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in archaeology or related field.
• 7+ years cultural resources management with project leadership.
• Experience leading field investigations and regulatory documentation.
• Knowledge of feds/state tribal and local cultural resources regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex archaeological projects with scope, budget, schedule, and staffing responsibility.
• Serve as primary client contact and build long-term relationships.
• Develop methodologies for surveys, testing, and data recovery.
• Provide QA/QC for reports, designs, and proposals.
• Mentor Project Managers and staff; collaborate across disciplines.
