Job summary

ERM is seeking a Managing Technical Consultant, Archaeologist to lead multidisciplinary archaeological projects across the United States. You will mentor teams, engage clients, and integrate cultural resource considerations into broader environmental programs.

The role requires a graduate degree in anthropology/archaeology with 8+ years of relevant experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and a track record of business development. Travel within the US is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or closely related field plus 8+ years of related experience.
• Strong communication and client engagement skills with regulatory familiarity.
• Ability to obtain archaeological and cultural resource permits and manage reports.

Responsibilities

• Oversee literature review, field reconnaissance, surveys and excavations for archaeological studies.
• Provide technical consulting to grow ERM's archaeology and cultural heritage business.
• Interact with ERM practice areas to share cross-disciplinary resources.
• Lead and supervise staff in office and field settings; manage subcontractors.
• Prepare proposals and manage multiple projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
